Yoga for Birth
5 Week Yoga for Birth Classes
Thursdays for 5 weeks from 6:00 PM – 7:30 PM

These classes provide you with guidance, education and support by learning ways to align and balance your body and baby with optimal foetal positioning. making room in the pelvis for your baby to better align itself more symmetrically at the 3 gates of the pelvis, active birth and birth skills principles; to help you and your bub journey toward an empowered and physiological birth. These classes are ideal if you are looking for additional support for VBAC, or previously traumatic birth or assisted vaginal birth.
This specialised class provides additional guidance, strategies and techniques to add to your ‘birthing day’ tool kit and includes:
• mindfulness/breath awareness
• conscious relaxation
• creating a balanced and aligned body
• optimal baby position
• birth skills techniques
• birth positions and maximising the pelvic space
Classes run in 5-week blocks and due to limited space and course structure, must be pre-booked and prepaid
You will receive automatic email confirmation of your booking, once your online your booking form and payment is finalised.
Please choose dates carefully as refunds and credits will not be given. Please be aware that due to small class sizes there will be no holds, extensions or make-ups. Missed sessions cannot be made up or carried over into the next Term. *Individual circumstances requiring a Medical Certificate will be considered.
What to wear
Wear something comfortable and easy to move in - gym wear, yoga pants, tights or a loose t-shirt are ideal. The practice of yoga is done barefoot, so wear footwear that is easy to slip off and on.
What to bring
Mats, pillows, blanket, straps, wedges etc., are supplied. If you prefer to use your own Mat, you're most welcome to do so and just bring a bottle of water. Please refrain from eating a heavy meal at least 1.5hrs before class. If it's your first class, please also bring the health form, completed and signed (unless you have emailed or sent as SMS) prior to class.
Classes are held on either a Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday night from 6:00 - 7:15/7.30pm. Please arrive 5-10 mins earlier to your first class and ensure you download and bring your completed health form with you.
