As the meaning of Yoga (Union, Yoke) suggests, it is the unity of body, mind and spirit. In pregnancy, this ‘joining’ or union’, the intertwining of mother and baby and the intricate bond and connection that lasts a lifetime; is never more apparent.

Bellies & Bubs Pregnancy Yoga classes are recommended in the 2nd and 3rd trimesters (from 14 weeks). All postures (asana) are adapted to support the varying stages of pregnancy and the ongoing hormonal, structural and emotional changes.

You will be provided with some additional guidance for the 3rd trimester to create more awareness around optimal maternal positioning through postural alignment and balance, breath and pelvic floor awareness.

Our Birth in Balance Yoga Classes or Empowered Pregnancy and Birth Yoga Workshops for the 3rd Trimester, provide more awareness around positions for birth, spinning babies techniques, birthskills techniques to help navigate the surges and waves of labour.

These are offered to the Timetable, intermittently throughout the year.  Expressions of interest of most welcome.

Yoga is both safe and beneficial during the 2nd and 3rd Trimesters of Pregnancy for low risk pregnancies.  If you are deemed high risk, please seek clearance from your Care Provider.
